As a Lead Engineer on the Al team, you will be an integral part of a dynamic and innovative group, contributing to the advancement of breakthrough Al solutionsin the workplace learning technology sector.Operating within a high-autonomy environment, you will drive creativity, speed up Al innovation, and implement flexible approaches to project development.As the Lead Al Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and implementation ofcutting-edge Al solutions. You will be responsible for leading the Al team of engineers and designer, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the end-to-end development of Al solutions from conception to deployment. You will be passionate aboutleveraging Al to solve complex problems and have a proven track record of successful Al project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership:- Lead and mentor a team of Al Engineers and UX Designer- Manage and prioritise tasks, set goals, and ensure the team meets deadlines and delivershigh-quality results.Project Management:- Drive the end-to-end development of Al models, from problem definition and data collection to model training, evaluation, and deployment.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scopes, and ensure alignment with business objectives.Solution Development:- Design, implement, and optimise Al solutions that address complex business challenges.- Interface closely with key stakeholders, including founders, product teams, and customersuccess, to deeply understand user needs, business objectives, and use cases.- Translate business requirements into machine learning solutions, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and strategies.- Advocate for a user-centric approach, ensuring that Al solutions enhance the user experience and provide tangible value to customers.- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning and ensure the integration of state-of-the-art techniques into our solutions.Data Processing and Feature Engineering:- Work closely with data engineers to ensure the availability of high-quality data for model training and validation.- Develop robust feature engineering pipelines to extract relevant information from diverse datasets.Model Deployment and Monitoring:- Implement and oversee the deployment of Al solutions into production environments.- Establish and maintain monitoring systems to ensure the ongoing performance and reliability of deployed models.Collaboration and Communication:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.- Communicate complex technical concepts and project updates effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Educational Outreach:- (Create comprehensive documentation for models, algorithms, and integration processes.- Encourage and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions to ensure that insights gained during the Al development process are disseminated throughout the organisation.- Educate non-technical stakeholders on the capabilities and limitations of Al.- Collaborate with product teams to conduct workshops or training sessions to enhance the understanding of Al concepts and applications- Develop and deliver training programs to upskill software developers on Al concepts, tools, and best practices.What we’re looking forEssentials- Proven experience (5+ years) in designing, implementing, and deploying Al in real-worldapplications.- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or R.- Experience with popular Al frameworks and libraries.- Demonstrated leadership experience, including leading and mentoring Al teams.- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.- Strong communication and collaboration skills.Desirable skills- Experience with AWS cloud platform isa plus.- Publications in reputable conferences or journals related to Al.
