The RoleThe EMEA Network Engineer will contribute to the operation and strategic development and support of Norton Rose Fulbright LLP’s network infrastructure. The Network Team is a multi-skilled team, leveraging managed service providers, to deliver the end-to-endnetwork services across the EMEA region.NRF have a sizeable project portfolio for 2023-2024 and this role will work on both support and projects. Consistency of service and quality is key for our business and customersThe Network Engineer will have a reporting line into the EMEA Network Manager but will work alongside the other region colleagues to ensure availability across the global network.This role is hybrid and based in our Newcastle office.Skills and Experience required, but not limited to:

  • Working within ITIL Framework
  • Working in cross functional teams to deliver projects/issue resoutions on time
  • Experience provisioning and reconfiguring network devices
  • Escalation point for network related events within projects or support
  • Experience of MS Azure design, implementation and migration
  • Proficient with Cisco Catalyst and LAN technologies
  • Experience of managing outsourced network service providers
  • Experience of working with and managing third party suppliers to deliver complex network solutions
  • Monitoring platforms
  • Creations of Network documentation (Visio skills required)
  • Must have UK based experience
Be able to demonstrate competence in the following areas:
  • Ability to understand the business processes and commercial concepts to interact with business partners and service providers at a peer level.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both orally and written
  • Strong problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to be proactive, overcome setbacks and deliver results.

  • Experience of working in a regional environment across international locations with an appreciation of multiple cultures.
  • Demonstrate a high calibre ‘client facing’ skill-set, with exposure to both business and delivery pressures
  • ITIL qualifications are preferred for this role
