Mechanical Graduate Engineer

The CompanyOur client is a specialist engineering company. Due to growth, they now require a Graduate Engineer.The Role

The role will play a significant role in supporting current project and process engineering activities.
The work will support and align with Membership of the relevant Institutions such as the I. Mech. E.
You will provide support to the Manufacturing team with management of drawings, data sets, models, part lists, and specifications
Create manufacturing documentation (BOMs, routings, part/process/tool sketches using SolidWorks, log sheets, visual work instructions, change orders, etc.) with process engineering guidance, to fulfil customer requirements based on information suppliedthrough purchase orders and engineering documents
Develop process flowcharts, pictorial diagrams, and control plans as needed
Update schedules and project status for new and repeat orders
Provide estimating support through developing layouts and concepts for costing/quoting
Participate in the maintenance of engineering drawings and standards
Assist with developing PFMEAs where/when necessary to mitigate risk
Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products.
Coordinate production operations in accordance with material, labour, and equipment availability to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.

The Person

Must be educated to degree level in Engineering ideally mechanical.
Great attention to detail and strong communication skills.
A driven person with a willingness to take ownership and initiative on a new project/task from concept through completion.
Proficient in SolidWorks, or equivalent, and MS Office.
Problem solving skills with a desire to grow in the role and apply new manufacturing technologies or processes to remain competitive.
Familiar with typical fabrication processes such as sheet metal forming, rolling, assembly, welding, heat treating, and machining.
Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks at one time.
BS degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
Able to build models using 3D CAD and create manufacturing drawings.
