Job Description

Lead IT Support SpecialistCatalyst is looking to recruit a Lead IT Support Specialist on behalf of our client, a long-standing and high profile £10m income charitable organisation improving the lives of some of the most vulnerable members of our communities. Its services includecaring for people with profound disabilities, children, older people and those living on the margins of society.Reporting to the FD, you will source, implement, maintain and develop the organisations IT and management systems.Your responsibilities as Lead IT Support Specialist will include:

  • Providing technical support to 200 end users
  • Delivering training on the effective use of systems
  • Resolving issues across different locations in Tyne & Wear
  • Assisting in the design & development of the website & intranet
  • Ensuring systems meet user requirements
  • Implementing new systems
  • Delivering improvements
  • Training and supporting two members of the IT Team
  • Resolving user network, hardware & application issues
  • Creating an operational plan
As Lead IT Support Specialist you will need/be:
  • Strong experience gained in a relevant/similar IT Support role
  • A people person
  • Exceptionally well organised and able to prioritise
  • Able to build rapport with team members and users
  • A full driving licence and access to a car for business useideally with technical proficiency in:
  • Windows server virtual machine
  • Hybrid Exchange Office 365 environment
  • Various bespoke SAAS packages
  • Sage/Sage HR
  • Spiceworks
  • TeamViewer
