Job Description

THE BASICSI am delighted to be working alongside a progressive and established professional services business in their search to find a new IT Support Technician.Salary : CompetitiveLocation : Newcastle City CentreHybrid Working : no this role is based on site.Working hours : 09:00 – 17:30 Monday – FridayHolidays : 23 days + bank holidays (increases t0 28 days over time)Additional Benefits : Pension scheme, life assurance, free financial advice, private medical care, interest free season ticket loans.THE ROLEOffering 1st / 2nd line support to the company. Working directly with the IT Director and 3rd party providers you will be the face of IT for the business. You will be end user facing providing deskside and remote support to an office of circa 175 staff.You will be able to demonstrate experience across:

  • Active Directory (administration knowledge).
  • Office 365 suite.
  • Windows 10 / 11 / (2012 & 2019 (a benefit).
  • General hardware / software and mobile device troubleshooting.
  • Internal bespoke applications.
  • Responsible for new starter set ups
  • An ability to liaise with 3rd party suppliers
YOUR SKILLSYou will have experience working in a similar role, though there is additional support you will be able to work independently. so you will be able to demonstrate:
  • An ability to structure the working day and place tasks in accordance with priority.
  • Work within a changing environment, you will need to be able to adapt as issues arise.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, explain technical situations in simple terms.
  • Flexible to support the needs of the business.
  • Good organisation and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
