Job Description

IT Business Analyst

  • Location: Newcastle (Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days from home)
  • Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
We are on the lookout for a skilled IT Business Analyst to join our client’s global IT services team, which is the backbone of their organisation. This role is integral to ensuring the business operates efficiently and effectively on a global scale.As an IT Business Analyst, you will be the vital link between their global IT capability and business operations ensuring successful delivery of their IT services and product roadmap.Day to Day of the role:
  • Analyse business requirements with users, assessing feasibility, required resources, and potential issues, while recommending solutions to align with project objectives.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, budget, timeline, resources, risks, and value.
  • Engage in process identification, definition, and mapping, and recommend improvements to support business activities.
  • Elicit requirements through various techniques such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and business process analysis.
  • Translate business requirements into precise, high-quality user stories or functional specifications for development teams.
  • Validate key business requirements and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand business strategies and future initiatives.
  • Develop and execute business communications to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify key issues and evaluate options.
  • An analytical mindset, creative and curious, with the ability to process large volumes of data.
  • Proficiency in elicitation techniques to draw out relevant information.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen, understand, and relay information clearly.
  • Effective time management skills, with a focus on increasing efficiency and productivity.
  • A team player with a humble attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take on more responsibility.
  • Extensive demonstrable experience in Business Analysis.
