Job Description

INTERIM FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNERUp to £425 per day (inside IR35)Duration: 6 Month Assignment (potential to go permanent)Location: Newcastle (3 - 4 days on site whilst handover conducted)Start Date: ImmediateSTOIX is partnering with a Business Services Organisation based in Newcastle who are seeking the support of a hands-on Interim Finance Business Partner whilst they re-align the team structure, following recent funding and a new strategy.This is a broad role that will focus on driving profitability of one of the organisations largest and more complex contracts, and requires an individual who is comfortable being both an advisor and a hands-on/delivery-focused member of the finance function.The start date for this role is immediate as a handover is required.Assignment Summary:

  • Supporting all Financial, Commercial and Ops team across the North Of England Businesses
  • Leading on Management Accounts (full p&L); monthly journals
  • Producing weekly sales and ad-hoc reporting
  • Advising and supporting on contract negotiations and disputes
  • Deep diving into the financials and models for each contract, with a view to maximising revenues on each contract
  • Supporting the production of Statutory Accounts, working closely with the auditors
  • Acting as the Financial Lead on one of the largest contracts within the portfolio
  • Contributing to and attending business unit leadership meetings: Supply, assets, contract discussions
  • Acting as the SME on the commercials of the contract, ensuring all invoicing, costs and revenue are correctly tracked and recognized (IFRS15), as well as managing debtor positions and R&D claims (via 3rd party advisor)
  • Managing and mentoring a team of 2 individuals
Desired Experience and Profile:
  • Experienced, hands-on, qualified accountant who is comfortable diving into the details of contracts and commercials
  • Commercially astute with broad experience across, core accounting, FP&A and business partnering
  • Experience of managing and dealing with contracts/project-based accounting would be advantageous
  • Previously managed and motivated a team successfully
  • Able to manage stakeholders at all levels
