An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR generalist to join a well-established and respected business based in the Newcastle area. This role would be perfect for an enthusiastic, experienced, people focussed HR Advisor/Generalist who is looking tojoin a small but agile team.The HR Advisor will report into the Head of HR and work alongside an experienced HR Business Partner, to deliver an effective and efficient HR service, through the implementation and development of people related policies and strategies. A genuine opportunityoffering development within a varied and generalist HR role.The HR Advisor will play a full active role in delivering a proactive, flexible, value adding HR service; ensuring that best practice is adopted with the implementation of people management systems and practices.A key part of the role will be to ensure that managers and supervisors are supported in all aspects of people management, including managing grievance and discipline process as well as performance and absence management. Providing training and advice tothe managers and supervisors, to allow them to lead and manage their people consistently and effectively. This will include coaching and supporting managers in all aspects of people management, including the consistent implementation of HR related policies.You will provide advice and support to all stakeholders on the development and implementation of effective recruitment and selection strategies, covering both permanent and seasonal recruitment requirements that provide the business with the right peopleat the right time. Confident and positive relationship building skills is essential as you will be required to build a collaborative approach with the organisation’s recognised Trade Unions.Knowledge/experience gained within a regulated/compliance environment would be beneficial as you will be responsible for managing the full vetting process for all new employees which includes CRB, medical and detailed reference checks.
