Job Title: Head of PMOLocation: Newcastle upon Tyne (hybrid)Salary: negotiable based on experienceOur client, an award-winning digital consultancy based in Newcastle upon Tyne, is looking for a passionate Head of PMO to join their friendly team. As Head of PMO you will create and implement strategies for the Project team that is in line with both departmentgoals and the wider business goals.If youre a proven leader with experience operating and managing large teams and possess a proficiency for Agile, then you will love this role.Skills & Experience:* 5+ years experience as a Project Manager and proven experience leading fellow Project Managers* Excellent understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices, and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and businessenvironment.* A proven track record of successfully delivering complex digital and technical workstreams/programmes/projects.* Ability to effectively manage multiple workstreams at a given time.* Experience with overseeing multi-functional project teams that include UX, Creative, Developers and QA Personnel.* Proven experience in budgetary control and stakeholder reporting.* Proven experience in compiling scope of requirements documents, progress reports and change control documents.* The ability to meet with clients and confidently drive face to face meetings.* Help to support the wider client services team.* Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels.* Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills with an ability to manage competing client demands.* Best practice understanding of, and demonstrated experience, in using appropriate tools, such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project and all Office tools.Role & Responsibilities:* Help to grow and manage team of Project Managers.* Review, evaluate and provide visibility to leadership of ongoing issues/risks/progress across client delivery.* Managing workstreams/projects/programmes to time, budget and quality, and maintaining the governance to ensure this can be done effectively across all client work.* Holding positive productive relationships with client stakeholders and their delivery counterparts.* Manage Risks, Issues and scope changes effectively.* Leading by example within the department and ensuring your team have the tools and training necessary.* Building on existing Ways of Working to create and implement a strategy for the Project team that is in line with not only the department goals but the wider business goals.The Benefits:* Competitive salary, pension scheme, and employee rewards app offering discounts at a number of retailers.* Enhanced annual leave including bank holidays, flexible hours and hybrid working model.* Modern city centre workspace, corporate travel scheme and cycle 2 work.* Free breakfast and fruit, free eye tests and paid sick leave.* Personalised training and development programmes plus opportunities for internal progression.If this role sounds like something you would be interested in simply click "apply" and one of our consultants will contact you to get things rolling.
