Job Description

Our client, specialise in the design, installation, and connection of fibre optic services to domestic and commercial properties throughout the UK. Our teams work across the breadth of the UK and have a customer centric approach to Fibre to The Property(FTTP), using all of our customer skills training to ensure that our customers are at the centre of delivery.The Role:You will be responsible for looking after fibre builds and will manage and supervise teams of people undertaking civils work and building the fibre network. You will report to the Build Manager on the day-to-day project delivery within ageographical area, and the role will include street works and supplier performance management. Deliver excellent service to customers ensuring that performance standards and contractual service level agreements are metResponsibilities:

  • Deliver the highest level of Health and Safety standards on your sites
  • Deliver sites on time and with high levels of quality
  • Help trouble shoot and solve problems when they arise, be that technical or other problems
  • Report/update systems daily for progress tracking
  • Manage quality inspections including snagging
  • Supervise and line manage the civils/cabling/splicing gangs
  • Manage sub-contractors ensuring company procedures and safe working practices are always adhered to by engineers and contractors
  • Monitor and report against build programmes
  • Working to tight SLAs.
  • Onsite supervision/Coaching of Engineers as required
  • Work with Build Manager confirming the scope of the work and materials required to ensure projects are delivered on time.
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Base H&S qualification
  • Confident in managing installations and co-ordinating on-site resource to deliver these.
  • Excellent Leadership and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to motivate others effectively.
  • Results orientated attitude
  • Understand of FTTP, Openreach network and Civils delivery.
  • Thorough working knowledge of a fibre network build through significant job experience and training on site.
  • Good customer-facing skills.
  • Clear verbal and written communicator
  • Full clean driving licence
