Job Description

Job DescriptionResponsibilities (how we will measure success) The main purpose of the role is to ensure that financial crime controls are implemented effectively for the two regulated entities G10 Capital Limited and Sapia Partners LLP. In particular:

  • Responsible for ongoing oversight and reviews in accordance with the Firms Financial Crime Policies and Procedures.
  • Conduct ongoing financial crime monitoring on the Firms Appointed Representatives.
  • Draft MI for the Firms various Committees relating to Financial Crime controls.
  • Review market abuse alerts through an automated system and escalating in line with agreed processes and procedures.
  • Review PEP alerts to conduct initial and ongoing enhanced due diligence where appropriate.
  • Review suspected money laundering activity and where appropriate, submitting Internal Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for review.
  • Oversight of the Firms inbound and outbound due diligence processes regarding the Firms counterparties and end clients.
  • Act as a point of contact for financial crime and AML queries, providing advice and guidance to all internal stakeholders.
  • Keeping abreast with UK, EU and international developments in AML legislation, sanctions and guidance from bodies such as HM Treasury, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and the Joint Money Laundering Steering Group (JMLSG).
  • Relationship building across the wider IQ-EQ Group on anti-financial crime matters and ensuring that group policies and standards are adopted within IQ-EQ RegCom.

Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with anti-financial crime processes at an FCA regulated firm, ideally with a funds focus. Passion for prevention of financial crime.
  • Great teamwork and strong communication skills.
  • Hands on approach and attention to detail.
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines.
