Job Description

Im looking for an experienced SQL / BI / Data Warehouse Developer to join the Data team of a well-established organisation in Cumbria, to work on the ongoing development and maintenance of their Data Warehouse as they migrate to Azure.They operate a hybrid working model, and are ideally looking for someone to come into their office in Penrith 1-2 days per week, but there is flexibility here if needed. Therefore, please still apply if you live a little further afield.Its a particularly exciting time to join this organisation, as theyre in the early stages of migrating their existing on-premises SQL Data Warehouse to Azure, with the support of an external Partner. In this role youll be heavily involved in this migrationproject, building robust data pipelines for effective data transfer.Going forwards, youll be responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the Azure Data Warehouse, ensuring that data is available for the reporting team to build Power BI reports.This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced SQL Developer to further their skills in Azure, as part of a growing team who have a track-record of promoting from within and supporting their employees development through Microsoft training courses.Requirements:

  • Strong SQL development skills
  • Data Warehousing experience - ideally building or developing a Data Warehouse
  • Experience building data pipelines using SSIS or Azure Data Factory
  • Any experience with Azure technologies would be highly beneficial
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Benefits:
  • Salary up to £43,000 depending on experience
