We are currently working with a prestigious law firm seeking a Defendant Catastrophic Injury Solicitor to join theirgrowing team in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly regarded firm known for its expertise in defending catastrophic injury claims.Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a skilled Defendant Catastrophic Injury Solicitor to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in defending complex catastrophic injury claims on behalf of insurers and other defendants.This is an excellent opportunity for a talented solicitor looking to take the next step in their career and work on high-profile cases in a dynamic and supportive environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of defendant catastrophic injury claims, including but not limited to spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, severe burns, and amputations.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into the circumstances surrounding each claim, gathering evidence and documentation to support the defencestrategy.
  • Work closely with insurance clients and other defendants to develop effective defencestrategies and achieve favourableoutcomes.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and witness statements, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings, advocating vigorously for their interests.
  • Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and legal developments in the field of catastrophic injury litigation.
Qualifications:
  • Qualified Solicitor with an interest in defendant catastrophic injury claims and some experience in working on claimant or defendant personal injury or clinical negligence files.
  • Strong understanding of personal injury law, including relevant statutes, case law, and procedural rules.
  • Excellent litigation skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for clients in negotiations and court proceedings.
  • Proven track record of successfully defending complex injury claims.
  • Exceptional analyticaland problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and client service.
