Job Description

Central Employment is partnering with a remarkable pharmaceutical manufacturing company, with a legacy dating back to 1971, to bring on board an Accounts Assistant for their dynamic team.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Head of Finance in all aspects of financial reporting and generating management information.
  • Managing daily cash flow within the business.
  • Handling monthly and annual payroll processing for all staff, ensuring statutory compliance.
  • Compiling data for month-end reporting and reviewing management accounts.
  • Reconciling accounts to external audit standards after month-end.
  • Preparing annual audit schedules for key balance sheet accounts.
  • Processing employee payroll and benefits monthly, including the production of P11ds, P60s, and P45s.
  • Ensuring compliance with auto-enrolment, real-time information, and other statutory requirements.
  • Taking responsibility for transferring financial information from the payroll system to the accounting system.
  • Conducting daily bank reconciliations.
  • Performing short and medium-term cash flow forecasting.
  • Making timely statutory payments and identifying opportunities for lending surplus cash to Wasdell Group.
  • Issuing supplier statements.
  • Responding promptly to ad hoc finance queries from non-finance staff and Group Finance.
  • Staying informed about current developments to identify necessary policy updates.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in Payroll and accounts, with proficiency in Sage software.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative approach.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledgeable in Accounts and well-versed in various payroll processes.
