Job Description

MB499: Job Title: Warehouse and Production OperativeLocation: Newbridge, near EdinburghSalary: £29,000Working Hours: 40 hours per week (mixture of day and night shifts): Night Shift: 10pm – 6am, Back Shift: 2pm – 10pm, Early Shift: 6am – 2pmAdditional Company Benefits: Exceptional Career Development Opportunities, Enhanced Pension Contributions (4% contributions by both sides with the option to increase to 10% with matching employer contributions), Medical Expenses scheme, PPE providedOverview:First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Warehouse and Production Operative on a permanent basis due to growth based at their Newbridge depot.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Health & Safety standards are maintained and that isolation procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Safe loading of customer orders onto vehicles, ensuring correct temperature of vehicles prior to loading.
  • Carry out and record site CCP checks to comply with Food Safety standards.
  • Pick mixes ensuring stock is correct and available for logistics.
  • Effectively carry out Goods Inward tasks, ensuring all stock is accurately accounted for and pallets are put away in a timely manner.
  • Carry out manufacturing tasks in a safe, consistent manner to meet customer demand. This includes ingredient tipping, bagging product and fines weighment. Ensuring all paperwork is completed in line with site procedures
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Basic level of PC literacy
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • HACCP Knowledge CCP trained
  • H&S Awareness
  • FLT licence
  • Pallet management systems knowledge
  • Previous experience warehousing and manufacturing
