Job Description

Company description:The Scottish Midland Cooperative is Scotlands largest independent co-operative and has been at the heart of Scottish communities since 1859.Overview:We now have an exciting opportunity for a Business Administration Apprentice within the invoice team based at our Head Office in Newbridge.Working for the invoice team is a superb learning opportunity for someone who would like to gain a variety of experience in a finance setting, while gaining an industry recognised qualification.The apprenticeship offers on the job training, education (through work-based learning) as well as the opportunity to demonstrate independent work skills and team working.Program:Digital Applications Support Programme - Level 3Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilising the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Processing and payment of invoices using internal systems
  • Dealing with insurance claims
  • Branch charging
  • General administration duties including mail, photocopying and filing
  • Utilise collaborative technologies to communicate with internal/external stakeholders

  • High attention to detail and an orderly approach to processing
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Confident and enthusiastic
Working week:MondayFriday,Core business hours are from 8.30am5.00pm.37.5hrs a week.Future career progression:If the candidate is successful throughout and completing their apprenticeship, there will be an opportunity to stay on and progress within the company.Important Information:QAs apprenticeships are funded by the Skills Development Scotland agency. To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
