Job Description

We are dedicated to promoting the Scottish red meat industry, encompassing beef, lamb, and pork. We aim to enhance the quality and reputation of Scottish meat both domestically and internationally. Our work covers quality assurance, promotion, market intelligence,education, research, and industry representation.Hybrid - Working from home or office based in Edinburgh.Duties & Responsibilities:The post holder will be responsible for the provision of Digital and office support to all staff.

  • Being a first point of contact for customers, answering the phone and relaying calls and messages, meeting and greeting clients, managing the centralised MS Outlook email inbox. This allows for coordination between all departments.
  • Provide day to day IT and digital assistance to staff, set up new employee’s tech and liaise with external IT support contractors.
  • Provide digital support to other members of the Corporate Services team (Executive Assistant, Finance Assistant, Project Co-Ordinator, or Head of Corporate services) with any additional tasks.
  • Organise and book travel arrangements for all staff when required for example, booking accommodation, flights, car hire and other travel on sites such as Booking.com & Skyscanner.
  • Use Microsoft Dynamics for basic Data Analysis regarding products. You will produce reports that will be viewed by other staff in order to support future business decisions.
  • Support all staff with various duties for example, minute taking at meetings, writing transcripts for videos, creating surveys, proof reading. This will be accomplished by using Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel Powerpoint etc)
  • Designing marketing material and content on Canva
Aptitude, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to prioritise workload and multitask.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, to meet deadlines, and in a flexible, pro-active way.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office systems.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Positive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn.
Qualifications:
  • Basic English & Math’s
Salary:
  • £26,593 per annum
Working Hours:
  • 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday however, given the nature of the role the hours of work are not always of a fixed nature.
