Job Description

Bidfood is looking for a part time Customer Service Executive to cover a 1-year period of maternity leave. Dont miss this opportunity to join a leading Scottish company.Customer Service Executive - Part Time (1yr Maternity Cover)Fixed term contract (22.5hours) a week£9.50 per hourEdinburgh EH28 8LFApplicants must be eligible to work in the UKBidfood Scotland are a leading wholesale food distributor covering the whole of Scotland consisting of four depots: Edinburgh, Inverness, Larbert and Oban.We pride ourselves on our close relationships with local suppliers and our ability to offer the best of Scotlands larder to our customers. Our flexible infrastructure ensures that we are able to supply the entire Bidfood product range as a "one stop shop"to our customer base throughout Scotland, including the Highlands and Islands. Larbert is our hospitality hub that hosts Scotlands customer experience centre that we use to help grow £14bn food and drink sector.Working for us, youll not be just a number; youll be part of an inspiring team where your views count. Within this role you will be supporting our customer base dealing with and resolving delivery discrepancies /queries and providing a high level of serviceto our customers. Liaising with internal departments is key to this role to ensure we rectify issues efficiently and effectively. You will handle and resolve a wide range of customer services issues on the phone, via email or your colleagues, using your excellentjudgement and communication skills, and your passion for excellent service. Not only that, but you will seek to implement improvements to communication and processes to raise standards even further.This is a part time fixed contract for 1yr covering maternity leave with the potential to lead to a permanent position.22.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Shifts will be on a rota basis of 8am - 12.30pm, 12.30pm to 5pm and will vary week on week.Responsibilities of the role:

  • Responding to Incoming/Outgoing Calls.
  • Liaising with internal departments, mainly via e-mail communication.
  • Completing associated admin/e-mails.
  • Creating call logs on discrepancies/enquiries.
  • Follow up resolution to customer.
  • Ability to identify continuous or ongoing issues.
About youYoull be a skilled and natural customer service advocate with understanding of its importance in a food distribution environment. Your attention to detail, communication and organisation will be excellent, backed up with strong IT, analytical and financeskills. Ideally you will have previous experience in a customer service role, be a team player and have the ability to perform to the highest standard whilst working under pressure.Success in this role will utilise all your influence and impact with colleagues right across the depot, to ensure a shared commitment to the highest standards of customer service.If this is you, we look forward to hearing from you!Benefits:
