Job Description

Location: Neath / hybridSalary: £30,000 - £35,000paHours: Full time Mon - FriDuration: PermanentA rare opportunity has become available for an experienced Sales Estimator to work with our client who are a long established award winning manufacturer and provider of contract furniture. Based in Neath (with the opportunity for home working). The successfulcandidate will support the sales team by setting up quotes, cost pricing and liaising with the purchasing team. This is an ideal opportunity to work for a forward thinking employer that values its employees and aims to develop all staff to their full potential.Main Purpose of RoleThe Sales Estimator will assist and support the sales team.Main Duties

  • Setting up quotes in line with our quote template or the clients BOQ or own template
  • Populating the quote with cost pricing researched from the Ministry standard product book or supplied directly for Ministry suppliers
  • Liaising with the purchasing team on the most competitive pricing from suppliers to drive a competitive tender price
  • Assisting the reps with production selection driven by lead times and supplier pricing provided by the purchasing team
  • Assist the sales reps with market pricing of products to ensure a competitive bid
  • Sending quotations to clients
  • Setting up appointments for reps to present quotations to clients
  • Passing on feedback to reps on quotations and recording on the database
  • Assisting in gathering the leads for new projects and setting these up on the Ministry database for allocation to the appropriate rep
  • Updating the database with contractor, client and contact names and contact information
  • Keeping contact information up to date for example if contacts move organisations or a new contact joins the organisation
RequirementsEssential
  • Educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent, including English and Mathematics
  • Solid internal sales support skills with experience of quoting
  • Keyboard and telephone skills essential
  • Word/Excel knowledge essential
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to manage a CRM database
  • Good product knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must have good attention to detail and accuracy
  • A team player, who is also capable of working under pressure, with a high level of personal and professional integrity
Desirable
  • Knowledge / experience of the FFE Industry (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment) is ideal but not essential.
