About the role As an HSER Manager at DS Smith, you will support all levels of management, to implement the necessary activities and actions to develop the HSER culture of our sites. You will ensure that the business has the right skills, processes, materials, information and procedures to consistently meet legislative requirements, customer requirements and the standards established by formal management systems (e.g. ISO 14001, 50001 and 45001).To be successful in the position you will need to: build relationships at all levels of the organisation; coach employees on behaviours and actions to achieve a strong safety culture; support the development of the annual HSE plan; monitor monthly KPIs and targets; deliver technical HSER training; be a representative of the HSER management systems; manage the internal and external audit schedule; oversee technical risk assessments (e.g. PUWER and COSHH); and act as a the point of contact for HSER communications with regulators and insurers.This is a hugely important role for the business, looking after HSER across our Neath, Crumlin and Plymouth sites.About you Minimum requirements: · 5 years’ experience in HSER in a manufacturing or high-risk environment· NEBOSH General Certificate· Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g. IOSH or IEMA)· Strong communication, influencing and problem-solving skills· Experience training others, performing hazard risk analysis and dealing with legislationBenefits · Competitive salary· Car· Pension scheme· Life assurance· Income protection· 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays Required skills
