Job Description

FLOATING SUPPORT WORKERIMMEDIATELY REQUIRED TO WORK IN CENTRAL SWANSEA.Location: Central Swansea.Hours: 37Duration: 3 monthsSalary: £13/hourAre you passionate about supporting others and searching for a diverse and flexible role that will allow you to make a positive impact in the community If so BRC are recruiting for a Floating Support Worker to join an amazing team in Swansea. This charity provides emotional and practical to support individuals vulnerable to losing their tenancy. The focus of this position is to ensure that individuals are given the tools they need to be able to overcome difficulties they might face and stay intheir homes. This is a people focused role wherein you will be working with a variety of different individuals across several ongoing projects.Your responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

  • Delivering practical and compassionate support.
  • Building confidence and a positive attitude.
  • Working with a caseload.
  • Ensuring measures are taken to prevent loss of tenancy.
  • Encouraging individuals to establish and maintain a community support network.
  • Collaborating with external agencies such as healthcare professionals, police and social services.
  • Taking responsibility for managing your own case load.
To be successful in this position you will need to have previous experience working with individuals who have struggled to maintain their tenancy. You will be a collaborative individual able to work as part of a wider team. You will also be confident inmanaging your own workload and multitasking.
