Job Description

Salary:£10.36 per hour if you hold a NVQ/QCF Level 2 Playworker or Social Care qualification or £10.16 per hour if you dont.Contract:Permanent, Part-TimeHours:9 hours per week with opportunity for occasional day time working. This includes support to access community-based activities in small groups, activities at the project base or caring for a child in their own home (domiciliarycare). Community Short Breaks Workers work directly with children and young people in this service.As a Community Short Breaks Worker, youll be:

  • Administering medication to the children and young people
  • Supporting with personal care needs
  • Leading on fun activities in the community
  • Delivering engaging and development opportunities to those in your care
  • Working toward helping children and young people reach their individual targets

  • Experience of working with children/young people with disabilities
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 Social Care qualification or willingness to work toward (paid for by us after your probation period!)

  • Ability to travel independently so your own vehicle and full licence is essential
