Salary:£19,600 pro rata (equivalent to £10.18 per hour)Contract/Hours:Permanent, Part-Time, 5 hours per week minimum with plenty of overtime opportunities available. This role will involve caring for a child in their own home (domiciliary care). You will need a high degree of flexibility as the majority of children requiresupport before they leave for school, after returning home from school and on weekends. If youre an early bird, this may be perfect for you because youll be required to start at 6:30am or 7am to help the child get ready for their day ahead.Community Short Breaks Workers work directly with children and young people in this service and work toward achieving the best for children in the comfort of their own homesAs a Community Short Breaks Worker, youll be:

• Administering medication to the children
• Supporting with personal care needs
• Leading on fun activities in the community after school
• Ensuring the child is ready for the day of school ahead
• Delivering engaging and development opportunities to those in your care
• Working toward helping children and young people reach their individual targets

• Flexible and adaptable approach to your work including early mornings, evenings and weekends
• Experience of working with children/young people with disabilities
• NVQ/QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification or willingness to work toward (paid for by us after your probation period!)
• Understanding of Safeguarding and GDPR
• Ability to work independently and ideally, experience working in a domiciliary role
• Ability to travel independently so your own vehicle and full licence is essential
