Job Description

Location: Neath / home basedSalary: £32,000 - £35,000pa + car allowance + bonus (OTE £42-45k)Hours: Full time Mon - FriDuration: PermanentA rare opportunity has become available for an experienced and qualified Business DevelopmentManagerto work with our client who are a long established award winning manufacturer and provider of contract furniture.Based in Neath (with the opportunity for home working), the successful candidate will report to the Head of Sales and will be fully involved in helping ensure the company delivers strong performance, delivers excellent service, and generates good returnsfor customer members.The RoleThe BDM is responsible for the achievement of sales to commercially sustainable levels within their assigned area of responsibility.Main Duties

  • Develop a personal sales achievement plan that maximises face to face selling time and sales results with the target customer group (the call list)
  • Execute a sales outreach (canvass calling, appointed calls, business networking, etc) that engages with the call list and decision-making units (DMUs).
  • Promote the companys products and services to DMUs through a visit programme.
  • With the support of the Commercial Office; prepare and deliver design briefs, quotations, tenders and sales presentations to DMUs.
  • Build a sales pipeline and quote bank capable of securing and exceeding the personal sales achievement plan.
  • Successfully convert the sales pipeline and quote bank into new sales orders and invoicing, to phased levels pre agreed with the company.
  • Ensure the companys CRM data is accurate and current, with emphasis upon:
  • Planned Customer Visits
  • Visit Reports, customer activity and customer data
  • Quote Bank and outcomes.
  • To provide an excellent standard of service to external and internal customers.
RequirementsEssential
  • A minimum of 5 years sales experience working in B2B
  • Demonstrable passion and energy for securing new business for the company.
  • Demonstrable ability to identify, develop and convert new business opportunities into sustainable sales pipeline and profitable sales revenues.
  • A track record of meeting and exceeding assigned commercial goals.
  • A track record of developing excellent, sustainable business relationships with both existing and new customers within the target customer group.
  • Expert product knowledge of the companys products and services.
  • The ability to deliver accurate sales forecasts to deadlines.
  • Strong commercial awareness of the key relationships between sales revenues, profit, and product volumes.
  • Good understanding of CRM reporting systems and MS Office.
Desirable
  • Knowledge / experience of the FFE Industry (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment)
  • Experience within a senior management role
