Job Description

Were a friendly and professional team, always open to new perspectives and looking for ways to collaborate.We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic Transport Planner at Principal and Senior level to undertake option identification and initial assessment of potential schemes across the UK. You should have a good understanding and experience of undertake option assessments and the appraisal of the economic, financial and environmental impacts of proposed schemes. You will be part of a team creating and developing options with subsequent traffic modelling and economic assessment of a number of potential solutions to a transport problem.What youll be doing:Present outputs from studies to a range of audiences; and

  • Develop relationships with Highway England / Local Authorities.
  • Understanding of the transport scheme appraisal process in the UK, including Highways England Scheme Stages 1 / 2 or WelTAG / WebTAG
  • Knowledge of economic analysis software e.g. TUBA
  • Ability to undertake Value of Money BCR assessments for proposed schemes
  • Experience of liaising and working with partners and agencies
  • Knowledge/experience over a range of civil engineering and transport disciplines such as: cycle and pedestrian network delivery, public transport networks and interchanges,
    • What were looking for:

  • Chartered or working towards chartered status.
  • Knowledge of economic analysis software e.g. TUBA

  • Knowledge/experience over a range of civil engineering and transport disciplines such as: cycle and pedestrian network delivery, public transport networks and interchanges, highways and junctions
  • IT Literate, capable of using MS Word, Excel and other office packages
