Job Description

We found it in a powerful innovation focus.An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an IT Support Technician to join our team at our offices in Nantgarw. This is a crucial role, as we rely on the efficiency of technology more than ever before, you will be providing ongoing support and stability to the IT infrastructure across our business.What will you doAs the successful applicant, you will be responsible for providing friendly, customer focused support to both our internal and external client base. You will ensure that set service level agreements are met and that requests are delivered to a high level of customer satisfaction. Amongst other tasks, some of your duties may include:

  • Daily Infrastructure monitoring
  • Following ITIL methodology, provide 1st Line support through assigned work and escalation from Service Desk.
  • Troubleshoot and objectively escalate deeper and more complex issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve minor network issues e.g. LAN access
  • User Account setup and maintenance
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical hardware and software related issues
  • Liaise with external support companies, where necessary.
  • Set-up and configuration of new Desktops, laptops, VoIP Phones, Mobiles and Tablets
  • Hardware/Software Updates
  • Mobile Device and Asset Management
  • Printer Support and consumable replenishment
  • Anti-Virus and Windows update monitoring and management.

  • A relevant Computer Science Degree or A’ Level or ICT qualification
  • Excellent Windows OS and printer skills
  • VoIP/Mobile device support
  • Good knowledge of Office 365, networking and telephony
  • A detailed and analytical approach to undertaking duties
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Possess a current driving licence (desirable, you may need to our site in Hengoed)
