Job Description

Administration Support Brook Street are looking for a confident worker to join a growing organisation in the Public Sector on a 5 month basis. This is a full-time temporary position with an immediate start for the right person and could lead to further opportunities within the organisation.What will you do as an Administration Support Officer

  • Work within the Workforce and OD Directorate in a key supporting role to the teams to support the delivery of directorate responsibilities.
  • Provide a comprehensive secretarial / admin support service including diary management, arranging meetings, service meetings including taking minutes, prepare reports, documents and other correspondence as required.
  • Arrange meetings, undertaking preparatory work as required to develop agenda and papers, take minutes, produce minutes, and monitor follow up actions.
  • Review correspondence as required, determining and ensuring appropriate actions, identifying areas of concern and ensure that they are aware of such matters and that they are being handled in accordance with agreed protocols.
  • Assist the department in general administration and secretarial duties always ensuring a professional and confidential service.
  • provide project support and be responsible for managing database
  • Support the team with the management of projects by gathering information, analysing and presenting information, and undertaking enquires as and when is necessary.
  • Support the team in setting up key events and meetings, including advertising, management and communication across a range of stakeholders.
What type of skills/experience do I need to be considered for this role
  • Experience of working in a clerical role including organising meetings, preparing agendas, minutes, presentations and reports
  • Demonstrates a high level of organisation in approach to tasks
  • Able to generate a series of options in response to problems and take a logical approach to solving problems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
