Senior Handyperson£21,691.62 to £24,486.57 per annum37.5 hours per week, two shift patternsAre you an experienced tradesperson looking for a new and exciting challengeWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Tradesperson to join our small and friendly Estates and Facilities team. As an integral member of the team, you will carry out planned and responsive maintenance and repairs including installation work on buildings, services, plant and equipment belonging to St Elizabeth’s Centre. You will ensure such duties are carried out to a high standard and in an efficient, effective and safe manner.The successful candidate will hold two relevant technical trade qualifications and will have experience and an understanding of maintenance work within a care or education environment. Along with a good understanding of legionella and asbestos, you will need to demonstrate an aptitude for good organisation, communication, supervision, administration and record keeping and have a working knowledge of health and safety regulations.You will work on a two shift pattern from 8.00am to 4.00pm or 10.00am to 6.00pm, five days over a seven-day period. You will also be required to be on the on call rota. In the absence of the Maintenance Manager, you will also be delegated extra responsibilities including supervising the Estates and Facilities team to organise their work on a day-to-day basis as required.St Elizabeth’s is situated in 68 acres of Hertfordshire parkland between Harlow and Bishop’s Stortford. We support people with Epilepsy and other complex needs from the age of 5 through to 80 in our Children’s Home, School, College, Residential Homes with nursing and Day Centre.
