Plant FitterBritish Gypsum is looking for a Plant Fitter to join their team in Robertsbridge, with the purpose to deliver professional maintenance to maximise plant efficiency by actively utilising continuous improvement techniques and delivery of the highest standards whilst attending plant breakdowns and completingplanned maintenance activities.As part of Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions, were committed to providing innovative and sustainable solutions that make built environments better and make the world a better home. • BTEC National / NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering related discipline
• Time served apprentice
• Experience in safely maintaining medium to heavy process plants with basic skills in machining, welding, pneumatics and hydraulics
• LOTO trained, PTW awareness
• Experience working to WCM standards would be preferable

What you will be doing:

• Ensuring all assigned work orders and inspections are completed as efficiently as possible, and if not possible, informing their Line Manager as soon as possible.
• Following all safety procedures including isolation procedures.
• Clocking in when arriving at the site and clocking out when leaving
• Ensuring an OTJRA is filled in prior to starting any task where the risks are not fully understood.
• Reporting incidents, near misses and safety concerns.
• Recording results factually on all paperwork.
• Maintains the housekeeping in their area
• Does everything possible to deliver a quality product as energy efficiently as possible
