Job Description

Location- The Princess Grace Hospital, Central LondonHours- Full time 37.5 hours per week.SalaryCompetitive + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)About the RoleAs a Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist you will be responsible for providing a safe and patient-focused clinical pharmacy service to wards. This includes undertaking medicines reconciliation, assessing pharmaceutical needs, assessing and facilitatingthe use of patients own drugs, ensuring appropriate drug supply.With in this role, you will communicate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team (doctors, nurses, dietitians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and ward managers), to intermediate care, general practice support and community pharmacists in theprovision of medicine related information and assessment of patients treatmentSkills and experience

  • B. Pharm / M. Pharm / BSc (Pharmacy).
  • Registered with the GPhC.Postgraduate Diploma in either Clinical Pharmacy or General Pharmacy Practice (or equivalent - MSc in Clinical Pharmacy) or be able to demonstrate the intention to complete within 6 months of being in post.
  • A minimum of 4 years post registration experience in hospital pharmacy.
  • Demonstrable experience in clinical pharmacy practice covering a broad range of specialities.
  • Supervision and training of others.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and effectively as part of a team both within pharmacy and a multidisciplinary environment.
