Job Description

The HireWorks are currently working with a company based near to Newmarket who are looking for a Late Shift Maintenance Engineer on a full-time, permanent basis.Working Hours - 40 hours per week, 14:00 - 22:00 (Monday to Friday). With the expectation to work a minimum of 4 hours every fourth Saturday which is paid at over time rates.The purpose of the role is to find someone who can come into the team to inspect, find faults and repair machinery and on site facilities to maintain a safe working space.Typical duties would include:

Assisting with planned and routine maintenance across the site
Ensuring that statutory maintenance and testing obligations are undertaken, and records kept up to date.
Statutory testing on building systems, including but not limited to, fire alarm and emergency lighting systems and recording of testing.
Assisting with manual handling, moving furniture and other items as and when required whilst assisting with internal desk moves.

The successful candidate:

Experience in a similar role providing maintenance services within a manufacturing environment.
Completion of a recognised qualification in Electrical and/or Mechanical engineering.
An understanding and appreciation of health and safety and environment legislation in relation to this role.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Excellent all round mechanical and electrical knowledge and experience.
