Job Description

Pudsey Transport are looking for a Traffic Co-ordinator to maximise efficiency within the operations team.If you have previous experience of route planning and excellent knowledge of UK geography, we want to hear from you.Traffic Co-ordinator - Immediate StartMorley, Leeds, LS27 0BN£26,000 per annumFull Time, Permanent PositionWe are looking for an experienced Traffic Co-ordinator to join our dedicated team handling day-to-day Transport operations.In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Organising the drivers on a daily basis on arrival at the depot.
  • Managing the drivers through the day by keeping in close contact with them and monitoring their performance.
  • Briefing and debriefing drivers etc.
  • Ensuring that deliveries are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Liaising with shift managers and dealing with any on site issues throughout the day.
  • Compiling and processing PODs.
  • Communication with customers
  • Maintaining the traffic screen.
  • Managing Sub-Contractors.
About youThe ideal Traffic Co-ordinator will have:
  • Excellent level of skill in Microsoft Office products and IT systems in general.
  • Excellent knowledge of all Vehicle Operator Licence requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of UK geographical and road network.
  • Good understanding of EU driver hours and working time regulations.
  • Previous experience in Planning, Routing and Back-loading vehicles.
  • Commercial awareness to maximise transport efficiency.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a decisive approach.
  • Have excellent time management skills and good ability to plan and anticipate.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and have own transport.
Working Hours:0800hrs - 1700hrs, Monday to FridayPlus 1 in 4 Saturdays 0700hrs - 1000hrsBenefits
