Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a L-Vis Test Analyst to join our team at our office in Morley, LeedsAs a Test Analyst you will join an Agile development team who work with numerous internal systems including Loxams ERP system, IoT platform and eCommerce. You will be an integral part of the development process, collaborating with software engineers andbusiness analysts across the software development lifecycle to develop test plans and understand business requirements and processes to define, construct and execute test scenarios/scripts.In return you will receive a Competitive Salary, 25 Days annual leave plus bank holidays, Auto enrolment Pension Scheme, Life Assurance, Westfield Health Cash Plan & Lifestyle benefitsdiscounts on selected high street stores.Responsibilities include:Provide software quality assurance support to Software Development team through the provision of software test services.Ensure the quality of deployed software through the development and execution of professional test packs derived from business requirements. Where business requirements are not available, support the Development Lead in the development of appropriatetest packs based on software functionality. Testing will include:Static TestingFunctional TestingNon-Functional TestingIntegration TestingTake responsibility for execution of the system test phase of the development cycle, including responsibility for the generation and maintenance of test documentation (plans, logs & scripts), ensuring:The test procedure is executed as per the Test Plan.Software is cleared of all major bugs pre acceptance testing.All defined functionality is present and correct.All end user requirements have been delivered.The system integrates successfully and data integrity is assured.Support the maintenance of software testing tools, test environments, layered products and third-party applications. Assist in evaluating and testing upgrades as required and evaluating the impact of such changes on the operation of the applications system and development process.Provide a support role for any reported software bugs. Validating and assisting in the resolution of reported bugs.Provide system knowledge and expertise to other Group IT staff to assist in the implementation of change and the provision of end-user support.Provide ad hoc support to assist in meeting Group or departmental objectives as required..The ideal candidate will have/be:Qualified to A level (or equivalent) standardISEB Foundation qualification (or equivalent).Experience of translating product and system requirements to develop test packs.Experience of using Azure DevOps test plans.A minimum of two years experience of software testing in a commercial environment.Developing test plans for GUI Client Server and web based software applications.Production of written and statistical reports appropriate to communicating software readiness and continuous improvement.Excellent understanding of testing principles and practice.Good understanding of common software development lifecycles and the interaction required to deliver quality assured software.Strong overall IT literacy and ability to utilise MS Office in a business environment.Ability to work as a team member to deliver against demanding deadlines.Ability to work independently in situations when direct supervision is not practical.To have a strong attention to detail, accuracy and a methodical approach to work.Excellent communication skills with the ability to consult with colleagues and clients at all levels.Ability to think creatively and provide new ideas to promote the continuous improvement of software quality.Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and deadlines.Be capable to work flexibly when workload demandsBe able to travel to other locations if necessaryIn return you will receive:Competitive Salary25 Days annual leave plus bank holidaysWestfield Health Cash PlanAuto Enrolment pension schemeLife AssuranceLifestyle BenefitsPart of the Loxam Group, Nationwide Platforms are the UKs market leader in powered access with a fleet of 13,500 machines operating from 32 depots across the country, we have the operational capacity, experience and expertise to fully satisfy our customersworking at height needs.Employing 1,100 staff across the UK, we have an established workforce which supports an inclusive and diverse organisation.
