Job Description

US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation Systems eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharingon current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We areseeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team. We are seeking a Systems Administrator that can work independently - please read below!Responsibilities:

  • Manages the functionality and efficiency of servers running on one or more operating systems.
  • Download, stage and deploy systems-related security policies and updates to maintain information system compliance with DISA security policies and procedures (STIGs, IAVAs, etc.)
  • Creates and maintains detailed system documentation.
  • Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes.
  • Develop scripts to perform recurring systems administration tasks, automate installs, gather metrics, etc.
  • Deploy Operating System and third-party updates via Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
  • Produce monthly network statistics to meet SLAs.
  • Maintain and update DHCP scopes and options.
  • Administer Active Directory: users, groups, objects, DNS, Group Policy/AGPM, ADFS, AD LDS, etc. per company policies.
  • Maintain virtual infrastructure, hardware, and backups
  • Configures and upgrades server operating systems and applications.
  • Creates and maintains SOPs or other guides to assist with troubleshooting.
  • Provides follow-up actions with customers to ensure resolution of incidents or requests
  • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
  • Provides end-user software troubleshooting and support remotely.
  • Applies advanced diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions.
  • Analyzes customer needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in computer troubleshooting and support.
  • Requires professional certification in one or more specific technologies, depending on job assignment.
  • Will occasionally be required to perform networks, systems, information assurance, and logistics duties.
  • This position may require early evening system maintenance and occasional on-call after hours.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience required.
  • Bachelors Degree or substitute additional years of experience.
  • Secret clearance with ability to upgrade/maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire.
  • Experience with infrastructure including but not limited to: data center operations, server hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), web servers, databases, virtualization (VMware), networking, storage, monitoring, etc.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • May be required to work evening, weekend, and holiday hours as required.
  • Must have good and professional customer relationship skills.
  • Must obtain company-provided Operating System training/certification within 30 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting multinational customers preferred.
  • MCSE, MCSA, MCITP: EA equivalence
