Job Description

The business are very open to fresh ideas from new people, so this is also an opportunity for you to make your mark within the business, whilst excelling with you career.The role:You must be a truly seasoned Project Manager who is very commercially minded and has strong client facing experience. As cliche as it sounds, no two days will be the same working within this organisation. You will have "cradle to grave" responsibility of leading projects, being a key interface between clients and internal staff members involved in projects as well as the management team.Some of the key responsibilities for the Project Manager will involve:
  • End to end project responsibility - from cost control to leading review meetings, as well as mobilising and communicating with on site teams to ensuring the relevant QC checks are carried out before sign off
  • Have on site presence where applicable as per project requirements.
  • Be the main interface to clients - taking a lead on all client liaison throughout projects life cycle.
  • Monitoring progression of projects - labour hours, spend/overspend reporting on issues and putting in place corrective actions.
    • The ideal candidate for the Project Manager will have the following background:
  • Must have worked in a Heavy/Structural Engineering, Construction, Metal Fabrication or related sector.
  • Led large bespoke projects that vary in nature, size and complexity.
  • Be a very professional and commercially focused individual, who has the ability to lead on new business development with existing and new clients.
  • An academic background in an Engineering or related discipline would be advantageous.
  • A doer - being prepared to roll your sleeves up where appropriate, whilst also being to have a strategic outlook on things.
