Keep readingOur Client have been established for almost 40 years and a market leader in the fluid power industry, based in the south west of England. They provides solutions for the design, manufacture and supply of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment including associatedcontrols to local, national and international customers. Due to on-going growth and employee promotion they are now looking for an ambitious Internal Technical Sales advisor to join their family orientated team. Interested.. Keep reading.As the Technical sales advisor you will be responsible for handling all incoming sales enquiries/orders and providing technical assistance to our customers. This will include cross referencing, component specification, sourcing, quoting, order processing,supplier negotiation, providing technical assistance on our trade counter and other general sales based duties. If you have experience working within the Fluid Power industry with knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic components it will be highly desired.Your Role:

  • You will be providing technical sales support to customers.
  • Sourcing components both based on cross referencing existing components and specifying from application.
  • Generating quotations to fulfil customer enquiries.
  • Processing and acknowledging customer orders.
  • Processing and progressing supplier orders.
  • Ensuring customer orders are delivered within customers expectation.
  • Acting on customer service queries received.
  • Occasional serving of customers on our trade counter.
  • Occasional light assembly.
The successful candidate will:
  • Be able to demonstrate technical knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic components - Desirable
  • Have experience working in a sales capacity and be able to demonstrate commercial awareness.
  • Display high levels of initiative and problem solving skills.
  • Show organisation and time management skills to ensure tasks are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Be able to communicate effectively, using a range of methods, with other members of staff, customers and suppliers.
  • Show that they are a self-motivated and driven individual who can excel under pressure.
  • Engage with others when working in a team to achieve a common goal.
  • Office hours are Monday to Thursday - 8:30am to 5:00 pm and Friday - 8:30am to 4:30pm with 30 minutes for lunch.
