Job Description

A multi-site business is seeking a part qualified Management Accountant.You will provide Management Accounting and Business Partnering services to a number of sites, supporting the senior finance and management teams in their decision making.£36,371- £39,57125 days annual leave + BHStudy SupportThis role is full of variety; alongside the financial and management accounting work there is technical demand from an audit/budget perspective, systems admin and project work that will span systems, finance process, policy improvement and more.Further to this, given the nature of the business, those that would like an altruistic element to their work will find it here.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide accurate and timely budgets, management accounts and financial forecasts
  • Annual Financial Planning
  • Assist with statutory obligations such as VAT returns, annual budget returns, audit planning
  • Assist in development and management of financial systems to ensure accurate financial records are maintained and robust financial reports are provided to budget holders.
  • Provide a range of financial and budgetary information and reports as required by the Head of Finance and COO.
  • Operate financial procedures in accordance with statutory guidelines, financial regulations, Trust policy and practice.
  • Oversee and implement any new projects as directed by the Head of Finance.
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, specifically accruals and prepayments.
  • Assist with internal audit work including internal control and assist with amending and keeping policies up to date within the Trust.
  • Work with the COO and Head of Finance on procurement, management and monitoring of contracts, tenders and agreements for support service and energy supplies, ensuring value for money, working within relevant guidance.
  • Supporting budget holders in the management of their budgets and ensuring best value from suppliers and additional funding that may be available.
  • Assist with finance system administration.
