Job Description

Role: AccountantArtis Finance & Accounting is working with a fast growing renewable energy company based near Midsomer Norton to recruit an Accountant to join their growing Finance team.Main Responsibilities:

  • Management accounts preparation
  • Statutory account preparation, including liaising with auditors to resolve queries
  • VAT preparation
  • Responding to internal and external queries
  • Updating records on Xero
  • Credit control
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Preparation of payment runs
  • Processing supplier invoices
Experience & Qualifications
  • This position would suit a candidate who is Level 4 AAT qualified or working towards
  • A strong technical knowledge of current accounting regulations and issues.
  • Excellent communication skills with initiative and good problem-solving ability.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft software used in a paperless office.
  • Experience of Xero would be an advantage but full training will be given
  • An ability to work in a small team, and use initiative is very important.
  • Practice experience is desirable but not essential
