Job Description

Technology Risk Manager (Permanent) Location: Edinburgh (1 day in the office)Salary: CompetitiveResource Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Technology Risk Manager to join a retail and commercial bank in the UK. Our client is always there to help their customers be more confident with their money and get more out of life.About the role: Our client is seeking a Technology Risk Manager to join their 2nd Line of Defence Risk Oversight Team. This would be a great role for anyone looking to help a big business on your strategic Technology adoption journey safely and securely by providing advice,assurance, and oversight of technologies.Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with Technology, Business and Project teams internal and external to the company to understand the finer detail and be able to apply risk and control context.
  • Communicate to key stakeholders on Technology risk findings, opinion, and actions required to strengthen controls, reduce risks, and ensure compliance.
  • Understanding of financial regulation and its requirements on technology and material outsourcing.
  • Perform Second Line of Defence activities in the evaluation of risks for new products, systems, and material change projects.
  • Providing fundamental changes across the company, participate actively in the delivery of changes, enhancements, and projects in conjunction with the technology and resilience teams.
Key Skills:
  • Experience operating within/testing against Technology Risk and Control Frameworks such as CSA CCM, ITIL, NIST, Cobit.
  • Experience working in a technology risk team.
  • Proven ability to understand, identify, analyse and communicate clearly an organisations data and technology risks
  • Proven experience in applying legal/regulatory guidance into solving practical problems
  • Solid technical and functional knowledge of risk management and control.
  • Ability to clearly articulate what risk management framework looks like and demonstrate how they can support risk function and provided examples.
  • Background in variety of technology not solely Cyber including ITIL, Cloud, Third Parties, etc.
  • The ability to adapt to other areas.
  • Having experience in financial services industry will be desirable.
