Blue Arrow Derby are proud to be working in partnership with picturesque Nature Reserve company based in the busy tourist town of Matlock Bath, Derbyshire area. They are looking for a driven Visitor Centre Manager to join their team on a full-time permanentbasis to manage their Caf and Visitor Centre.Hours: Full-time (37 hour per week)9:00am - 5:00pm on a flexible rota to include Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.Salary: £20,000About the RoleWorking closely alongside the Retail Manager, the successful candidate will take the lead on the continual development of the visitor experience at their Discovery CentreFor this position it is essential to have a valid UK drivers licence.Duties will include:

• Working in a busy catering environment
• Providing a high standard of customer service
• Managing and motivating a team
• Working with suppliers to ensure efficient, reliable and good value catering stock and materials
• Working as part of a team and supporting colleagues in their day-to-day work
• Working in a visitor centre environment
• Working with EPOS till systems
• Managing purchase ordering systems
• Managing and motivating volunteers

About you:

• Previous experience in the same or similar roleExperience with high quality food preparation and delivery
• Food Hygiene / Safety certificate is desirable
• Good knowledge on Food Hygiene and Environmental Health legislation
• Current catering trends to ensure competitiveness in a fast-changing industry
• Good basic numeracy skills and the ability to check and reconcile statistics and financial information
• Computer literate and able to use word-processing, e-mail and spreadsheet software (Word, Excel and Outlook) and internet research capability
• Excellent administration skills
• Ability to deliver high levels of customer service
• Ability to manage and motivate a team in order to deliver results
