Job Description

Our client has been supporting the skills needs of the logistics, automotive and business sectors for 50 years.The People & Programme Development (P&PD) Manager will own the life-cycle process of identification, implementation, continuous improvement and growth of all existing and new education programmes. The P&PD Manager will identify opportunities for new programme development through market metric analysis, engaging with subject matter experts and employers to drive curriculum development, ensuring all programmes are developed with a comprehensive learner and employer needs analysis, delivered through the most appropriate medium and have a true and lasting impact on all those who participate in aprogramme through Pathway, Apprenticeship or Pre-Employment Skills Training.People Development

  • In collaboration with HR and Quality, ensure that employees and teams are supported to maximise their effectiveness through CPD arising from appraisal processes.
  • Develop a comprehensive teacher training plan to empower industry experts with the necessary training to bring experience to the classroom.
  • Develop a comprehensive induction programme with HR for all new employees to ensure all relevant training is completed and continuously refreshed.
  • Programme Development
  • Lead the People & Programme Development team to ensure timely development of new programmes across Pathway, Apprenticeships and Pre-Employment Skills Training.
  • Manage the development of programmes within a recognised project management framework, ensuring agile delivery within agreed timeframe, scope and budget.
  • Develop programme content based on identified needs, apprenticeship standards, End Point Assessment requirements and job role competency frameworks.
  • Build, maintain and direct the provision of standardised documentation across all programmes, including Rationale (3Is focus), Employer Information, Scheme of Work, Mentor Notes, Presentation Slides and Review Framework Guidance.
  • Ensure best practice is followed in line with the OFSTED Education Inspection Framework (EIF) and that all programme development is developed around the guiding framework.
  • Ensure that programme and curriculum subjects are sequenced to empower learners to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours they will need to successfully complete the programme.
  • Virtual learning
  • Lead on the development of learning plans in the organisation’s learning delivery system (Aptem) and on development of interactive learning content through the Equal online platform.
  • Source and/or develop SCORM compliant content using a recognised authoring tool for use in the orgnisation’s VLE platform (Aptem/Equal).
  • Teaching and learning
  • Coordinate the pilot delivery and take a lead in the delivery of all new programme development to ensure successful roll out of new programmes.
  • Embed a culture of work scrutiny; driving an inclusive monitoring process through triangulation of discussion between learners and delivery teams and of summative and formative feedback.
  • Skills & qualifications
  • TAQA or equivalent
  • PGCE
  • Proficient in the use e-learning authoring tools
