Job Description

LEARNER SUPPORT ASSISTANT We are Mantra Learning. The UK’s leading Logistics learning and development organisation. Mantra supports and develops people to help change lives. As a company with 52 years of industry recognition, we work with some of the biggestbrands in the country, including Asda, Aldi, Travis Perkins, Sainsburys, Wincanton, Stagecoach, G4S and Eddie Stobart.We have an exciting opportunity for a Learner Support Assistant to join our team. This position is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours a week based in Middleton, Greater Manchester.THE ROLEThe purpose of the learner support assistant role is to provide support to learners and colleagues prior to, during and after the delivery of lessons both virtually and onsite. Our ideal candidate will thrive on guiding learners in keeping with Mantra’shigh standards, during this transformative stage in their career. We want someone who can inspire change, instil confidence and encourage learners to achieve their goals whilst offering support to tutors.Our ideal candidate for the learner support assistant role is highly motivated with the ability to engage and re-engage with learners. You will be monitoring progress of the learner, collaborating with tutors and identifying any additional requirements.This role will require coaching and support to assist the learner in the completion of their course.Your duties as will include but will not be limited to:

  • Ability to work confidently with different platforms of learning, including MS Teams.
  • Attention to detail, organisation skills and be able to work well under pressure.
  • Utilisation of different teaching strategies to fit the learners needs and requirements.
  • Organised, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines and targets.
  • Supportive to SEN learners and able to work with learners on 1:1, small group or class.
  • The ability to reengage learners back onto programme and support learner retention.
  • IT literate with competency of MS Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
LEARNER SUPPORT ASSISTANT JOB REQUIREMENTSEssential Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications
  • Experience of working with adults to develop their learning
  • L2 English
  • L2 Maths
Desirable but not Essential Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications
  • Previous Experience in a logistics sector
  • Previous experience teaching experience
  • Previous mentor and advisor experience
The Package
  • £20,000 to £22,000 per annum
  • 22 days per annum plus 8 bank holidays
