* Encourage continuous improvement* Brief the teams at the beginning of each shift* Manage and enforce KPIsGoods In ManagerMiddleton£28kMy client is an extremely well-established and is the UKs largest wholesalers & distributers of drinks supplies to both businesses and direct to consumer, and we are proud to support in their search for an experienced Goods In Manager, to join their team attheir site in Middleton, where you would be responsible for managing day to day operations within a busy fulfilment site, driving efficiencies and devising and implementing a strategic approach where the customer always comes first.You will be playing a key role in the delivery operations of this site where you will be tasked with leading your team to ensure efficiency across goods in, and other distribution tasks. You will be leading operatives and ensuring efficiencies across the shiftas the site continues to grow.Key Responsibilities: * Brief the teams at the beginning of each shift and ensure that all relevant communication, feedback and recognition are carried out in an accurate and timely manner* To pro-actively work with senior manager to identify areas for improvement / best practice within the business* Train and develop staff in line with all business requirements* To ensure any Customer Service issues are dealt with within the agreed timescales.* Manage and enforce KPIs* Manage order processing and stock requirements* Work mainly within goods in but also to cover all areas of the operation to ensure the overall day to day requirements are managed successfully (e.g. stock control, returns, customer service, I.T etc.)* Ensure the warehouse housekeeping is kept to a satisfactory standard at all times* To continuously monitor staff performance and seek areas for improvement* Encourage continuous improvement to become part of operational daily activity* Identify and take responsibility for any potential operational inaccuracies & order discrepanciesKey Skills: * Clear & proven warehouse leadership experience within a similar environment* Ability to be organised to prioritise workload whilst demonstrating time management skills* Commitment to health and safety* A sound knowledge of the principles of warehouse operations and planning functions* Excellent communication and leadership skills* Experience of WMS* Ability to work under pressure and flexible in their approachThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a very well-established but continually growing business in a key role as part of their growth which will undoubtedly bring additional development opportunities for the right person.
