Job Description

Additional LearningSupport Functional Skills Tutor with Maths Specialism - £23,000 - £25,000 per annumThe National Logistics Academyis part of Mantra Learning Ltd. We are UKs leading Logistics learning and development organisation, with 52 years of industry recognition. We provide support and development to help peopleand change lives and work with some of the biggest brands in the country, including Aldi, Travis Perkins, Dixons Carphone Warehouse, and Eddie Stobart.Our organisation works with over 600 Apprentices, supports over 3500 people get back to work and improve their life chances and mental health and trains over 1000 people to become HGV drivers each year.We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Additional Learning Support Functional Skills Tutor with Maths Specialism to join our dynamic team and deliver Additional Learning Support for our apprentice leaners.The RoleThe main purpose of your role is to support learners who require additional learning support by the delivery of tutor led, virtual one-to-one delivery.You will also deliver functional skills and ensure learners progress and achieve in a timely fashion. The interventions you deliver will help apprentices to achieve their goals and enable life changing career progression.Whilst your subject specialism will be Maths, your English and IT skills should be to a good level.Your duties will include but will not be limited to:Delivery

  • Supporting learners with additional needs
  • To ensure learners are supported accordance with their requirements. This includes understanding diagnostic assessment process and planning teaching to support individual needs.
  • Teaching using innovative methods and new technologies, and engaging learners.
  • Ensure all training elements are completed in accordance with the programme guidelines and within the agreed time scales.
Essential skills
  • Maths, English and ICT qualifications all at Level 2 or above
  • Experience of conducting teaching and learning
The package
  • This position is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours a week.
  • Hybrid working with travel to Middleton, Greater Manchester as required.
  • £23,000 - £25,000 per annum dependant on experience and qualifications.
