Job Description

As business continues to grow, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Toolmaker to help contribute towards our clients growing success. You will be based at their workshop in the Long Eaton area of Nottinghamshire on a permanent basis, following a successful probation period.Our client is offering a stable and supportive environment, you will play a vital part within a team of skilled staff to maintain our high standards of production.To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

  • Time served qualified CNC toolmaker
  • Proficient in surface and cylindrical grinding
  • Proficient in 2 and 3 axis CNC milling
  • Proficient in turning, both manual and CNC
  • Ability to draw and program using various programs such as 1 CNC, Cadlink etc
  • Operate wire eroding machines with Fanuc and Peps interfaces.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
  • Flexibility to assist with specialist projects
  • Prepared to adapt and support other engineering teams within the company
  • Full clean driving licence required
  • The successful candidate will have a solid background within the machining / toolmaking sector and should possess good problem-solving skills, together with an ability to work with a high degree of independence.Within this position, you might also be:
  • Visiting customers
  • Creating solutions to customer problems
  • Playing a vital part within a team of skilled staff to maintain our high standards of production
  • Delivering high quality engineering solutions
