Mechanical EngineerCambridge/RoystonCirca 45-55k How does the concept of developing the next generation of technology to assist drug development strike you as a calling The company we are proud to be working for have been involved in creating various equipment solutions used in the recent development of our defences against COVID and many other problems affecting us on a global level. We are in need of a highly creative Mechanical Engineer to join a team focused on bringing leading solutions to be used by a customer base developing the next front lines in medical discovery. Joining a highly skilled and cross-functional team, your role will be help define the product requirements and development of proto-typing and testing of these. Leading to in-house manufacturing and managing documentation throughout the process. Being a key appointment to this team on order to play their part in delivering a heavily invested NPD program, youll see your work from start to finish and also have the chance to work in collaboration with the customers involved in shaping the direction and success of the product.What we are looking for...Youll be proven Mechanical Engineer who enjoys the hands on element and development of complete solutions. R&D Background is essential, coming from a Consultancy or Manufacturing or having exposure to both is advantageous. The engineering involved is intricate and working within the limited space afforded will hopefully provide you with the right technical scope of work. Using SolidWorks is the in-house tool and hopefully youll be a proficient user of this. Collaboration is essential in providing your work both in engineering development, documentation and communication at all times. Youll also take real pride in the robustness and reliability of all engineering contributions provided and be happy to work through all stages on development into manufacturing. The role having laboratory and workshop requirements is expected to be onsite 60% of the time.
