Senior Project Manager - Estates Planning DepartmentLocation: Canterbury and MedwaySalary:£44,737 - £50,300 per annumContract Type:31/05/2025Are you passionate about delivering high-quality construction projects that enhance the learning and working environment of a leading university Do you have the skills and experience to manage complex and diverse projects from inception to completion Do you want to join a friendly and supportive team that offers excellent benefits and opportunities for professional developmentIf you answered yes to these questions, then you might be the perfect candidate for the Senior Project Manager role at the Estates Planning DepartmentAbout the roleAs a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing construction project management services on new build, refurbishment, maintenance and infrastructure works on the Canterbury and Medway Campuses. You will work closely with internal and externalstakeholders to ensure projects are delivered to agreed programmes, budget and quality, working to recognised project and financial management standards. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of projects and processes by identifying and implementingbest practices and lessons learned.About youTo be successful in this role, you will need:

A construction related degree or significant demonstrable experience of construction project management
A valid certificate for CITB, Site Management Safety Training Scheme course
Formal project management qualification, or willingness to undertake one as a matter of priority
Demonstrable track record in the delivery of capital projects and refurbishment projects and controlling substantial construction related budgets together with a detailed understanding of financial management and reporting systems.
Knowledge and understanding of construction and property related legislation and procurement procedures
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
