Job Description

Interim Group Financial Accountant

Location: Medway
Job Type: Temporary (3-6 months, with potential extension)
Salary: Competitive

Reed Finance is working with a globally recognised organisation in the search for an Interim Group Financial Accountant to provide essential support during a critical Year End period.This role offers flexible hybrid working arrangements, with the expectation of 1-2 days per week in the office. The ideal candidate will be a fully Qualified Accountant with substantial post-qualification experience (PQE). Day to Day of the role:

Lead the preparation of the Group’s Annual Report & Accounts.
Ensure all year-end timetable deadlines are met, including the preparation and posting of year-end journals and advising on the impact of changes.
Act as a primary liaison point with external auditors.
Maintain robust balance sheet controls, ensuring reconciliations are performed, reviewed, and all balances substantiated.
Control and maintain fixed asset records.
Develop and maintain financial accounting and modelling systems as necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Substantial PQE.
Strong experience in financial reporting and year-end processes.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with external auditors.
Proficiency in maintaining balance sheet controls and fixed asset records.
Capability to develop and maintain financial accounting systems.
