Job Description

Warehouse Operative - £9.50 per hourMeashamThe RoleDo you possess solid numeracy and literacy skills, coupled with basic Excel and Word skills Are you a team player with an understanding of production and distribution environment and regulatory requirements If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.We are a manufacturer and distributer of speciality off-patent/generic pharmaceuticals across the UK, Ireland and international markets, looking to appoint a Warehouse Operative to ensure that all orders are accurately picked, checked, sufficiently packedand correctly addressed and dispatched within time constraints set by the Company in accordance with the Medicine & Health Regulatory Authority (MHRA) guidelines and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).This is a full time, permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday inclusive 10.30am to 7.00pm with 1 x 30-minute meal break and 2 x 15-minute breaks daily.Key ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities of a Warehouse Operative include, but are not limited to:

  • Essential level of adherence to Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with GDP.
  • Adherence to work to time constraints for the transfer of stock both into and out of the warehouse.
  • To maintain a high level of accuracy of orders picked, checked, and labelled.
  • Accept responsibility for the quality of packing orders to ensure their safe delivery to the customer.
  • To accurately pick stock from Warehouse for the completion of NHS orders.
  • Check stock picked prior to being labelled.
  • Accept and respond to any queries from internal departments both on and off site in a timely manner.
  • Undertake and participate in all required training deemed appropriate for the job function i.e. to learn any piece of machinery or work on any system(s) used within the Warehouse environment.
  • Provide holiday cover for Production Unit when necessary (involving shift change to 8.00am to 5.00pm)
  • Undertake cleaning of your own work area and wider warehouse.
  • Other tasks and duties as agreed with your supervisor/manager.

  • Acknowledge of SAP an advantage (D).
  • Demonstrate initiative and proactive attitude (E).
