Teacher of HistoryLocation: York, North YorkshireStart Date: 27/02/2023Salary: MPSEarly Career Teachers are welcome to apply.GSL Education is working with a small community secondary school on the outskirts of York, to appoint a Teacher of History. The role is full-time and is due to commence at the end of February 2023. Applications from Fully Qualified and Early Career Teachersare welcome.About the School:

• Promotes effective learning, appropriate achievement, and educational, social, and personal progress of all pupils.

The Job Role:

• Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
• Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.
• Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge.
• Plan and teach well-structured lessons Key Stage 3 and History lessons.
• Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Teacher of History Requirements:

• Hold a relevant degree and PGCE or equivalent teacher training certificate.
• Teach History across a range of abilities at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level.
• Have a proven track record of raising attainment, where appropriate.
• Be able to adapt your teaching and learning method according to student learning styles.
• Have the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.
